The room is big and clean. There is free cloth washer facility and also swimming pool. The staff are very friendly and I will stay again on my next trip to Penang. They also allow for late 2pm checkout.

It's a 2-star hotel with a good location just after the Penang Bridge behind Tesco extra. Rooms are comfortable and spacious with just the bare necessities of a hotel. It's quite clean and daily housekeeping is also carried out. Great for big family as there are lots of space inside and outside for the children to run ard. The only gripe being that children running alg the corridor, shouting and laughing might be disturbing to some. But it offers affordable stay in Penang.

Access to the front gate of the RECSAM compound from the airport, Komtar, and other Georgetown attractions is easy via PenangRapidTransit bus system. The International House is just a short ways up the hill. Wading pool is often crowded on weekends when 4-5 kids of wedding guests can completely occupy it. Poolside furniture is overdue for replacement and there's a lack of shade at mid-day, but the overall rate is certainly competitive. As mentioned earlier, the TESCO mall out the back gate of the compound (actually the pedagogical institute's front gate) has excellent food court options with hypermarket and other shops. The newly connected (to TESCO) Udini mall has even more shopping and the next door e-gate mall has restaurants and coffee options favored by locals.

The rooms are clean and the staff very friendly. You get the best value for your money. Had some problem with the airconditioning but they immediately figured out a way to fix it. This location is close to TESCO so it was never a problem for us to buy stuffs needed. The food in RECSAM Cafe is delicious and cheap.
